Update Winter 2023:

We intend to go ahead with all of our planned social evenings as outlined on the Dates page.  We're usually in the Pine Hall, at t he end of the corridor. One of the organisers will be putting in an order for food from the local fish & chip shop at about 8.15. The choice is usually fish/chips; sausage/chips; pie/chips; etc. Or even just plain chips! Please pay as you order, cash only.

We've had good turnouts recently. Thank you to everyone who has attended so regularly.

Please feel free to email or message me if you wish further information; eleanor52roberts@yahoo.co.uk.

Welcome

Welcome to the Lyndhurst Transgender Friends website. At LTF we hope to foster a friendly atmosphere that offers an opportunity for free gender expression and to provide a safe, welcoming environment that permits people with gender-based anxieties to step outside the often lonely confines of the self imposed "closet".
We meet on the last Wednesday evening of each month at the spacious and comfortable Lyndhurst Community Centre, situated in the central car park.
Our evenings run from 7.30 - 11.00 pm.
We  change the date of our December evening if the last Wednesday falls on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Eve. See the dates page for more information.

Gender Differences

We want our members to feel able to express their gender differences freely, without fear of ridicule or intimidation. Socializing with other trans people helps to build confidence and reduce anxieties. So why not come and make friends? Our aim is one of inclusive participation, so we welcome non-transgender friends and partners who wish to attend and show their support.

FtM and MtF

Most of our regulars are MtF but we'd like to assure all FtM trans people that they are very welcome to attend. We'd love to see more of you! Please get involved.

Food and Drink

Several of our regulars organise  a "hot food raid" on the local fish and chip shop at about 8.15 pm, so arrive before then if you wish to make an order.  We are not alcohol-licensed but you can BYO, in which case we can supply wine and beer glasses. Tea and coffee are available free of charge, included in your entry price.

A Request for Courtesy

We ask visitors to our social evenings to show dignity and respect to all of our members and guests, so overt intimacy, extreme or  fetish dress, or predatory behaviour will not be accepted. We often share the Community Centre with other groups and we don't wish to lose this first-rate venue.

Entrance Fee For Our Monthly Evenings

We have built up a stable and friendly group during the past twelve years, and hope that it will continue for many years to come. 2022 will see social evenings remainat a very reasonable cost of £5 per visitor. Any surplus fee money helps to even out attendance fluctuations, ensuring continued social events. As with many groups, we do rely on regular attendance to pay for the cost of hiring the hall, and this is not cheap. Your continued support will ensure that the group has a stable future.
